Welcome to the official Web Site for the Newcastle Olympic Distance Triathlon

This event has been awarded the

2008/09 State Championships for Olympic Distance Triathlon.

The event is open to all comers.

$3600 in CASH prizes on offer

This race will be held in Newcastle on the Sunday 23 November 2008. The triathlon course is arguably one of the most scenic and exciting city based triathlon courses in Australia and will take in the Newcastle Harbour, Foreshore, Honeysuckle Precinct , Beaches and King Edward Park. The new swim event will mean everyone can have a go and make a weekend of the event.

A few changes and improvements to the 2007 race swim leg, compound and cycle leg will see this event attract a huge field from all over Australia. Based in the beautiful Harbour Square area of the Honeysuckle Precinct, the event shows the best of Newcastle from the newest area.

PS. We will be limiting the triathlon entries to 500 competitors....so spread the word and get training.
